Mather Square proposal secured Second Position

We are proud to share that Dearc's proposal for Mather Square secured Second Position in an open design competition for the revitalisation of one of Kochi's landmark mixed-use developments.

Organised to reimagine the future of Mather Square, the challenge called for transforming the ageing development into a sustainable, future-ready destination while working within its existing structural framework.

Our proposal was guided by a clear objective: to create a modern, sustainable, and aesthetically appealing development that harmonises with its surroundings while offering a practical, climate-responsive solution.

By rethinking the façade, public realm, landscape, and user experience, we sought to unlock the full potential of the existing asset while creating a distinctive new identity for the development.

Competitions like these offer an opportunity to explore how thoughtful design can breathe new life into existing buildings—proving that meaningful transformation is often about reimagining what already exists.
